Dewang Mehta Kaushalya Kendra (DMKK), Umreth - A Legacy of Empowerment

Located in Umreth, Gujarat, the Dewang Mehta Kaushalya Kendra (DMKK) serves as a transformative center for rural skilling and livelihood creation. Established through a Public-Private Partnership with Umreth Nagarpalika, Dewang Mehta Foundation Trust (CSR), and GTT Foundation, DMKK has empowered over 25,000 individuals from 50+ villages.

Impact Highlights : 8+ years of continuous operation, 25,000+ lives impacted, 6,000+ trained in employable skills.
Focus Areas : Tailoring, fashion design, computers, tally, office assistant, entrepreneurship, beauty arts, digital & financial literacy.
Women Empowerment : Creation of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) fostering women-led entrepreneurship.
Legacy : Named after IT visionary Shri Dewang Mehta, the center continues his legacy of innovation by transforming rural talent into skilled professionals and micro-entrepreneurs.

Rural Initiatives - Maharashtra

GTT Foundation, in partnership with Radiance Renewables Pvt. Ltd. (along with its subsidiaries), is implementing the Drishta Programme that aims to unlock women-led economic development in underserved rural regions of Maharashtra. As Radiance’s flagship CSR initiative, Drishta focuses on creating sustainable, skill-based livelihood opportunities for women, enabling them to enhance their economic independence and community participation. The programme is currently active in the districts of Jalna and Satara.

URBAN LIVELIHOOD PROGRAMMES

ANKUR - Empowering Communities for a Greener Future

ANKUR is a sustainability-focused initiative that integrates environmental stewardship with economic resilience. Supported by Accenture, ANKUR empowers women through training in upcycling, eco-product manufacturing, and sustainable business practices.

Key Features : Training in sustainable fashion and waste-to-wealth products, access to digital sales platforms, support for green microenterprises, peer networks and mentorship.

WeChimni – Digital Platform for Women Entrepreneurs

WeChimni is a dedicated digital platform promoting women-led entrepreneurship in fashion and handicrafts. Launched in March 2022, it serves as a one-stop platform offering product exposure, digital skills, and market access.

Key Statistics : 200+ women entrepreneurs onboarded, 50+ unique handmade products, ₹17+ lakhs in revenue generated.
Features : Product showcase and e-commerce integration, online & offline market linkages, entrepreneurial skill-building support.
